In this production process of PCB substrate copper clad laminate, the lamination of glass fiber cloth and copper foil is a key step. The lamination process uses a hot press. At present, in the preparation process of copper clad laminate, the heating plate in the copper clad laminate is used to heat the copper clad laminate. At present, there are three main heating methods for the heating plate in the press, namely steam heating, heat transfer oil heating and electric heating.
(1) Steam is used to heat the heating plate of the press, and the condensed water of the steam has a great influence on the temperature difference of the heating plates of different layers; This affects the stability of the copper clad laminate, and the pressure of the pipeline is high, which puts forward higher requirements on the pipeline, wide door, etc. At the same time, this heating method is a waste of energy. In the heating and cooling process, steam is also discharged, which wastes heat energy.
(2) The heating plate of the electric heating press is used, but the temperature of the heating plate in this heating method is not well controlled, the temperature difference is large, and it is more energy-consuming, so electric heating is generally only used for small presses or test presses.
(3) The heat transfer oil heating method, that is, the heat medium oil temperature control system, can provide a higher temperature, and the temperature is easy to control. After the heating plate heats the copper clad laminate, it needs to be cooled and kept pressure to realize the bonding of the copper foil and the reinforcing material. Therefore, it is necessary to quickly cool the pressure plate of the press, so that the copper foil and the reinforcing material are quickly bonded and the cooling and holding time is reduced.

The heat medium oil temperature control system uses high temperature synthetic heat transfer oil as a heat medium, which is transported by forced convection, and the heat is transferred to the hot pressing plate in an indirect way. Electric heating heat conduction oil furnace is economical, environmentally friendly and energy-saving, so the heating method of heat conduction oil as a heat source has gradually replaced steam and electric heating methods. The thermal oil temperature control system can also design a cooling system for cooling, thereby improving the cooling efficiency, ensuring that the pressure plate of the press is rapidly cooled after hot pressing for cooling and pressure keeping, and speeding up the bonding between the copper foil and the reinforcing material.
The heat medium oil temperature control heating system adopts different labels of heat transfer oil, which can meet different temperature requirements. The computer-aided design and simulation of the heating plate structure combined with the highly sensitive proportional integral temperature control system can make the system obtain more accurate temperature control and improve the temperature uniformity of different areas of the hot plate.
