Types and heating methods of PCB press

PCB press according to its principle of action can be divided into two categories:
A. Cabin Pressure Pressing Machine (Autoclave)
The PCB press is constructed as a pressurized inner bag in the outer cabin of the airtight cabin. The heat and pressure borne by the plates of each layer come from inert gas pressurized and heated in all directions.
Advantages: Because the pressure heat comes from all directions, the finished product plate thickness uniform flow glue is small and can be used on high floors.
Disadvantages: complex equipment structure, high cost and small output
B. Hydraulic press
The hydraulic press is constructed with vacuum type and normal pressure type, and the plates with openings in each layer are clamped in the upper and lower two hot presses. The pressure is transferred from bottom to top by heating the upper and lower hot presses to the plates.
Advantages:
A. The equipment is simple in structure, low in cost and large in output. The glue flow is large and the plate thickness is uneven.

PCB press heat source mode:
A. electric heating type: an electric heater is arranged in the pressure plate in each opening of the pressing machine for direct heating.
Advantages: simple equipment structure, low cost and easy maintenance
Disadvantages: a. large power consumption B. heater is easy to produce local high temperature and uneven temperature distribution
B. heating soft water to produce high temperature and high pressure steam
Advantages: due to the large heat transfer coefficient of water vapor
Disadvantages: it is cheaper to directly pass into the hot pressing plate for water
a. The steam boiler must be operated by special personnel. The structure of the equipment is complex and easy to rust, and the maintenance is troublesome. B. The high temperature and high pressure operation is dangerous. The forced convection mode is used to transport the heat to the hot pressing plate in an indirect way.
C. heat-resistant oils are used as heat media
Advantages: heating rate and temperature distribution are good
Disadvantages: complex equipment structure
D. Power-on flow:
The price is not cheap, the operation risk is lower than that of steam operation, and the maintenance is not easy to use the continuous roll-shaped copper foil laminate to pass current at both ends. Due to its resistance, the copper foil generates high temperature heating. The pressure plate is made of a material with low heat transfer coefficient to reduce heat loss and uniform temperature distribution.
Advantages: a. fast heating rate (35 /min.) B. low energy saving operation cost
Disadvantages: a. high cost of complex equipment B. low output and small temperature difference between inner and outer layers.
