For the maintenance of the hot press in the dry laboratory, most universities and scientific research units can reach a high level in the work of the hot press without serious problems. However, due to the strengthening of the hot press itself, especially in the maintenance system, the maintenance system has been improved to extend the service life of the hot press and provide more support for the work.

As far as the laboratory hot press itself is concerned, its performance advantages after long-term replacement are very worthy of recognition. However, considering its long-term application, there will be some damage in details. Although it will not pose a serious threat to the overall task, it is always a hidden danger. At this time, the maintenance of the hot press should be strengthened, and all aspects of the work should be effectively improved.

First, the hot pressing plate surface should be kept flat and smooth, and no hard metal objects are allowed to enter people, so as not to damage the hot pressing plate. Slabs of different sizes shall not be loaded into the hot press at the same time to avoid partial load of the hot press and deformation of the hot press plate.

Second, the upper and lower lining plates of the hot pressing plate protect the surface of the hot pressing plate, and the upper lining plate directly affects the surface quality of the plate. It is easy to get dirt such as fibers between the lining plate and the hot pressing plate, so the lining plate should be disassembled regularly to remove the dirt. The upper lining board is generally changed once a week to polish the surface and ensure the quality of the finished board.

Third, when installing the upper liner, be sure to pad the fiberboard to press it. Damaged or different sizes of slab can not enter the hot press. Direct pressing of fibreboard without a liner is not permitted. If the shutdown time is long, the steam condensate in the hot plate should be removed in time to avoid its internal corrosion.
